Welcome to another installment of the weekend overflow, now with Chuseok specials! But only a couple because my hiatus messed with my YT algo training, alas. Still, whether you're looking for band lives, dance versions, or special covers, this is the place. Bonus releases this week include everything from Youngtak's joyful trot release, Sarang OK, to the return of Secret Duet with a Bruno Mars cover, plus "previews" for the newest comebacks from Hwasa (MAMAMOO), P1HARMONY, and more.
Banner artist slot this weekend goes to Hi-Fi Un!corn, with my additional picks going to Hwasa (my queen), WOODZ, and xikers. What about you? What were your favorites? Any surprises? Let's chat!

🎋 This list compiles nightly, hence the differing versions spread across the list as I keep it in chronological-by-release order. For ease of viewing, however, I've pulled the xikers performances and eaJ's "visualizers" back together.
Youngtak - Sarang OK (Band LIVE ver) https://youtu.be/nf5ZBMnVrxo
genre: trot
note: what a fun way to start the listing this week, with genuine joy!
Xdinary Heroes - Instead! (feat. YB Yoon Dohyun) (live clip) https://youtu.be/4WMd8ZTwwKk
genre: heavy metal
cw: aggressive flashing lights
note: my longtime metalhead heart is still n love with this, but the flashing is pretty severe, so use your own judgment. I have an easier time when the flashing is in black and white like this, but I know for others that can make the flashing feel even more severe.
Seungeon (EVNNE) x Jinsu (LUN8) - When I Was Your Man (Bruno Mars cover) (Secret Duet) https://youtu.be/ITeFf0sp-xk
genre: pop
note: aww, such sweet and awkward babies! I love this series and am a little sad there's not more of them.
Xdinary Heroes - Night of Fireworks (special clip ver) https://youtu.be/o4TR06pTlPM
genre: rock
cw: flashing, unsteady cam
ONE PACT - Fxxk You (Sports Dance ver) https://youtu.be/ILCUDryK5Nc
genre: dance pop
cw: spots pointed right at the gd camera
note: sport version but in hanbok, yeah, you can see the Chuseok influence on this. Only four of the five members as Jay Chang is currently promoting with his other (probably strictly temporary) group, BDU.
xikers - Bittersweet (performance ver) https://youtu.be/1DVqzqdHorw
genre: dance rock
cw: supernatural elements (magic, powers), flashing lights, implied monster spider-creature, eyeballs, an anatomically correct heart
note: I need to watch this at least a dozen more times to make notes of the powers because yes, though being dokkaebi, that could well be a complete waste of time. Up to now, I've just assumed xikers was in a separate universe but watching Sumin's part at :58, now I'm wondering if we aren't going to get a crossing of the streams at some point. xikers and ATEEZ have distinctly different sounds in general, but they could also blend well together and it's been years since we had a KQ Family release, after all.
xikers - WITCH + Bittersweet (wall.live ver) https://youtu.be/2PEdk9_N8k0
genre: dance pop
cw: flashing lights, camera motion
note: excuse me?!? Ok, I know it's a combination of the dancers' and the camera's movements, but the quick switch between Hunter and Hyunwoo at :53? Perfection. Also, it's a little thing, but I'm continually impressed how even when they have nothing but their dance performance with which to do it, they still manage to convey a creepiness and otherworldliness with these stages... you know, in case anyone's forgetting that xikers' lore is that they're a group of dokkaebi.
eaJ, salem ilese - burn (official visualizer) https://youtu.be/3i32R7x2N2E
genre: pop rock
cw: lens flares, flashing lights
note: not sure why this is labeled as a visualizer instead of a music video? Like the difference is usually a visualizer either has some sort of beat pulse or sets a mood without showing any of the artist(s) singing and this does neither of those? Not that it matters, but since I file things according to their official labels.... yeah.
eaJ - i just want my 20s back (official visualizer) https://youtu.be/S5uJ0WNuWhs
genre: rock
cw: flashing
note: oh boy I can relate to this a little too much. Another "visualizer" that really could've been labeled as a music video, but you do you boo, it's all good.
eaJ - when the rain stops (official visualizer) https://youtu.be/Fpkp6EciRN4
genre: pop rock
cw: lens flares, flashing lights
note: sir, I think we're having a difference in definitions - this is the third visualizer that looks like a music video. XD
Candy Shop - Don't Cry (hanbok ver) https://youtu.be/liz3MI_Bmyc
genre: dance pop
note: another Chuseok special - I don't usually include so-called dance practice versions (perfected dances in the company studios), but this snuck into the list ... and then proved imperfect and also the girl groups have been getting a bit shorted in my lists lately (which is possibly an artifact of my hiatus, meep), so we're keeping it. Hey, my listing, my rules...that I can break as and when I feel like it? XD
EVNNE, arcon - Trouble (arcon Remix) (official visualizer) https://youtu.be/G9eLfozi674
genre: dance pop
note: the central bar levels visualizer isn't exactly true to the actual levels, but it's close enough. And the sort of thing I still expect when I see the word "visualizer" on anything. XD
Ryujin (ITZY) - There Is a Light That Never Goes Out (The Smiths cover) (audio only) https://youtu.be/AJZ8mTJJ52Y
genre: punk rock
note: unexpected cover is unexpected as hell, considering this song is even older than I am. XD It's been awhile since I last heard the original, but this feels like it's true to the spirit of it?
CHUU - In My Dream (Reincarnator OST) (special clip) https://youtu.be/nwyp10AbjNk
genre: rock
cw: flashing, camera jitter
WOODZ - Deep Deep Sleep + Nightmare + Bright Light Flicker + Accident (medley) (live clip) https://youtu.be/dP1B0yTZOpU
genre: dance rock
cw: flashing concert stage lights
note: I know this was scheduled for release well before Woodz started his service, but it still feels a bit like the universe saw how much I was suffering as a MOODZ and said here, take this concert medley for strength.
XG - Woke Up REMIXX [prod by JAKOPS] (feat. Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL, Awich, Tak, Dok2) https://youtu.be/rKdoO-e4Yl4
genre: hip-hop
note: if there was any more ego in this, it would burst at the seams ... and that's saying something, since hip hop tracks are regularly all about pushing ego to the max. But also, calling this a remix of XG feels ... dishonest? I'm leaving the citation, but, uh, they don't actually appear on the track at any point, so if you came here for XG specifically, wellllll ... have this crop of excellent Korean and Japanese rappers instead
Hwasa (MAMAMOO) - NA (Performance37 ver) https://youtu.be/H7SkO7CmFTI
genre: dance pop
cw: flashing lights, that ass move
note: wife and I have agreed that that dance move is a nonverbal "kiss my ass" ... a sentiment Hwasa has more than earned the right to express any damn time she wants. We adore a body-positive queen who ain't taking no shit off nobody no how. XD
FIFTY FIFTY - SOS (English ver) (82Live ver) https://youtu.be/VokJTNgs9PI
genre: dance pop
cw: flashing lights
BOYNEXTDOOR - Nice Guy (Band LIVE ver) https://youtu.be/cK3vsj4YqhE
genre: dance pop
note: this song keeps worming into my head, ugh. This performance is so cute, the way they bop around the stage, even going back to play with the session band for the last chorus. (Yes, I'm actively ignoring the pre-performance comments because I didn't need to be attacked by that reminder of how YOUNG these boys are)
Hi-Fi Un!corn - Butterfly (performance ver) https://youtu.be/Md4Jd2DnrmI
genre: rock
note: Someone woke up and chose violence all right - young sir, that collar was NOT necessary. XD
Doh Kyungsoo (EXO) & Lee Suhyun (AKMU) - Rewrite the Stars (The Greatest Showman OST) (cover) https://youtu.be/_TJlXlwJ6js
genre: pop
note: ok but now I need a musical with these two cast in leading roles please and thank you. I know better than to think it'll ever happen, but dammit, I want. XD
Jinho (PENTAGON) - Teddy Bear (Beyond the Studio ver) https://youtu.be/NdTjvor3lkI
genre: pop rock
note: given the setting, I really wouldn't have expected a problem with the subtitles, and yet.... That aside, this is almost too adorable to process, so, uh, if you're prone to cuteness aggression, there's your warning? XD (I almost but a non-cw warning flag on this for the cureness aggression warning, but I didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea, so... 😅)
P1Harmony - Sad Song (1theKILLPO ver) https://youtu.be/Riixk2A6jV0
genre: dance pop
cw: flashing lights
note: you know, I'm pretty sure when 1theK started this series, the idea was to pick out ONE killing point, but the last several have featured two points (as indicated by the costume change), so I guess that's the thing now? I guess it's fine, though with the average song being barely three minutes these days, well, as long as no one tries for even more killing points.... Also, this song is nothing like what I was expecting from that title. Also, also, when can we end this trend of wearing pants inside out?
Yeonjun (TXT) - GGUM (Studio Choom ver) https://youtu.be/x3Y2-mQRWFw
genre: dance pop
cw: aggressively flashing lights
note: speaking of waking up and choosing violence...but then what else can we expect from Yeonjun?
